The 2018 “Meet the Funders” session held on May 24th at The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton was a great success, with for over 75 in attendance! Featured panelists from the following Foundations presented clarity on their grant opportunities for our region: Scranton Area Community Foundation, NEPA Health Care Foundation, Spitz Foundation, Moses Taylor Foundation, Wells Fargo Foundation and the Margaret Briggs Foundation. A general overview of their grantmaking fields of interest, programs and the overall internal process for obtaining funding in Northeast PA counties was provided. Discussion also centered around how grant proposals are reviewed, best practices and the most common mistakes made by applicants.
